About the role

Early Years Practitioners will support and work as part of a professional team, interacting directly with children on a day to day basis to support the planning of and delivery of activities in a range of childcare settings. Work in partnership with fellow colleagues to ensure the welfare and care for children under guidance and supervision of an Early Years Educator, Lead Practitioner, or other suitably qualified professionals in the workforce. Duties include identifying safeguarding and child protection issues, carrying out their own self-reflection and continuous professional development opportunities, use their knowledge of child development to work with parents and carers to improve child wellbeing, support the collection of accurate and up-to-date records and data of children’s individual needs, and support the wellbeing of all children including those with additional needs and disabilities.
